New joint venture with Godik
New joint company founded, VENUE POS A/S: We want to make it easy, safe and efficient to operate and run events and attractions in the fields of sports, festivals, amusement and recreation by providing an integrated and cost-effective solution for access control, POS systems and self-service.
"We have learned that together we can achieve something new in this area. GODIK is the world champion of efficient logistics, and can handle installation and service nationwide. Meanwhile, VENUE MANAGER, an offshoot of development agency COMBINE A/S, has many years of experience in developing cloud-based solutions for sports clubs, festivals and theme parks. We complement each other really well. That’s the background for this joint company, VENUE POS" says Kim Godiksen.
This is a completely new solution for access control, integrated with a new POS solution. This allows customers to create an integrated service where, for example, customers who arrive early or often attend particular events can be rewarded with a discount. Or where the POS system allows tickets or armbands to be upgraded to a VIP area, for example.
"We have noticed a great demand for integrated solutions – to serve customers better but also to reward loyalty and to make it easier and more efficient" says Jakob Norgaard Mortensen, CEO of VENUE MANAGER A/S, who will also become the CEO of the new company, VENUE POS A/S.
The new company VENUE POS is owned jointly and equally. The company will be based at VENUE MANAGER A/S in Aalborg. As part of the collaboration, Kim Godiksen has also been made a partner of VENUE MANAGER A/S and acquired 16% of the shares.
GODIK is a major national supplier of rented equipment for events and festivals, and deals with the rental and sale of equipment for trade and industry, agriculture and retail, as well as damage control.
VENUE MANAGER is an omnichannel platform for the sale of tickets and season tickets. The platform handles tickets, merchandise and food/drinks. VENUE MANAGER has nearly 50 clients in Denmark, Germany and England.
