Best E-commerce Case 2018

Last week, the yearly e-commerce award was granted at a magnificent award show with applauses, celebrations and victory dances. As true underdogs, Venue Manager seized the chance and won the award for best e-commerce case right in front of strong candidates such as Molslinjen, Danbolig, Imerco and Hørkram.

With both speech and presence from the Danish Minister of Business and 800 spectators in Øksehallen, Copenhagen, Venue Manager could proud and humble take the stage and receive the award “Best e-commerce Case” for the work with the soccer club AGF.

The reward is given a supplier, whom have made a remarkable commercial impact for a Danish E-commerce client, and this is exactly what the jury stated in the following reasons for choosing Venue Manager among many great providers across all businesses in Denmark.

The tactic has secured knowledge about the fan base, given 12% more spectators and boosted sale of merchandise significantly. At the same time it has saved lots of time for the administrational players giving them better conditions working with sponsors and ticket administration. Overall the interplay between Venue Manager and AGF is a winner worthy and deserves an E-commerce award to the cupboard.

 

About the case

AGF’s webshop gathers the proud club’s entire business in ONE digital e-commerce solution – first of its kind in Denmark.

It offers both tickets, season tickets, merchandise, F&B, subscription and unique sponsor opportunities in a single transaction. This gives rich opportunities for upselling and cross selling while the customer gets an outstanding digital shopping experience.

But that’s not all: The customer’s additional purchases e.g. F&B are automatically connected to the ticket or season ticket, which just need to be scanned in one of the integrated cash registers on the stadium for delivery. At the same all match relevant tickets and products are stored digitally in the Venue Manager App meaning that the spectator only needs the smartphone to proceed through access control and collect prepaid F&B. These can even be collected by a simple “swipe”. Queues, cash and credit cards will be eliminated.
